I'm Tinxiedoodles (Kristine), 30. A mom, a wife, an office drone, and a musician. I do a lot of artsy stuff, like photography, drawing, songwriting, singing, and I also love to do freehand nail art in my free time.

Most of the time, this tumblr will be about my nailart, but I will post some of my other pursuits from time to time, as well as nail art from artists that I admire a lot.

All designs posted by me are my own unless stated otherwise. Removing or editing the watermark on my photos is not allowed. Thanks for visiting my blog!

As promised (to my hubby mainly), I did the famous Laura Moser (DEXTER - Ice Truck Killer) nails. In the 70s I believe this style was referred to as “skittles” nails because they sorta resemble skittles candies. I must admit though, with huge apologies to my hubby, that I wasn’t a huge fan of this mani. I didn’t like the color combination at all. As outrageous as I might be with my manicure sometimes, I still want them to look coordinated and this did not look coordinated at all to me. I tried adding rhinestones and whatnot to it but it didn’t look good :-(

New ten-minute mani that I did last night… The ring finger got smudged… Sorry. Was too excited to put the top coat on. This is so easy to do. There is no need for special brushes.
HOW I DID THIS:
1. Choose 3 or 4 colors that you want to use. I chose summer colors coz it’s summer here, we went swimming yesterday and my daughter and I both got tanned. LOL
2. Put your base coat on. For me it was a light green/cyan color.
3. Using the regular brush that comes with your bottle of polish, paint on a wavy line with the second color you want to use. Mine was yellow.
4. Do the same thing for your third (dark salmon pink) and fourth color (pink).
5. Let it dry for a bit before painting on your top coat to avoid smudging… (Look at what happened to my ring finger :-(   )
And you’re done!

DAY 22: INSPIRED BY A SONG

These nails were inspired by Katy Perry, more specifically, “CALIFORNIA GIRLS”. I didn’t really want to stick stuff onto my nails, like she did, when she had those candy sprinkle nails, so I just used my dotting tool. I’m really very excited about these. They look so cool in person! I’m not sure if I want to change these. I might just wait until they get chipped off until I change them. Also sorry for not doing LMFAO nails. I know I said I’ll do Sexy and I Know It but my daughter said she wanted me to do candy sprinkle nails. Hope u like them as much as I do .

DAY 3 - YELLOW NAILSThe 31-day nail art challenge is…well… challenging. In order to catch up I do a different mani for each hand.Sorry if my mani for “yellow nails” is quite simplistic. I did this on my right hand, and as you know, I’m not ambidextrous, and yellow is not my favorite color. For reasons that are both artistically and politically motivated (for my Filipino followers, sorry, but I’m not into President Noynoy, we could have done better). For Day 3 of the 31-day Nail Art Challenge, I tried to channel Beyonce. I thought of people, besides our country’s president, who wears a lot of yellow and I don’t think anybody wears as much gold and yellow as Beyonce does, so I looked into her past outfits for inspiration and this Emilio Pucci dress caught my eye.I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about how to execute this. I thought about making peek-a-boo holes, but, as I said, I’m not ambidextrous, so I just settled on trying to imitate the dress’ embroidery.
