I'm Tinxiedoodles (Kristine), 30. A mom, a wife, an office drone, and a musician. I do a lot of artsy stuff, like photography, drawing, songwriting, singing, and I also love to do freehand nail art in my free time.
Most of the time, this tumblr will be about my nailart, but I will post some of my other pursuits from time to time, as well as nail art from artists that I admire a lot.
All designs posted by me are my own unless stated otherwise. Removing or editing the watermark on my photos is not allowed. Thanks for visiting my blog!
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
As promised (to my hubby mainly), I did the famous Laura Moser (DEXTER - Ice Truck Killer) nails. In the 70s I believe this style was referred to as “skittles” nails because they sorta resemble skittles candies. I must admit though, with huge apologies to my hubby, that I wasn’t a huge fan of this mani. I didn’t like the color combination at all. As outrageous as I might be with my manicure sometimes, I still want them to look coordinated and this did not look coordinated at all to me. I tried adding rhinestones and whatnot to it but it didn’t look good :-(
I have been wanting to buy glitter of these colors for the longest time, and wouldn’t you know it, I found them at the oldest grocery in my area, and they were very cheap!
Mani for my right hand :-) Rainbow Leopard Mani!
DAY 22: INSPIRED BY A SONG
These nails were inspired by Katy Perry, more specifically, “CALIFORNIA GIRLS”. I didn’t really want to stick stuff onto my nails, like she did, when she had those candy sprinkle nails, so I just used my dotting tool. I’m really very excited about these. They look so cool in person! I’m not sure if I want to change these. I might just wait until they get chipped off until I change them. Also sorry for not doing LMFAO nails. I know I said I’ll do Sexy and I Know It but my daughter said she wanted me to do candy sprinkle nails. Hope u like them as much as I do .
DISCO NAILS
Finally, the finished product. Initially, I thought doing the disco floor would be hard, but it wasn’t. Compared to the disco ball, it was a breeze. I tried making a decent disco ball, but this is the best I could do. Drawing lines on it made it look dark, so I thought a glittery polish would suffice. To mimic disco lights, I chose to layer my black polish with glitter polish. There. I hope you like it ♥
